Brazil

Brazil became a republic in 1889 and adopted a new  green flag with yellow diamond and blue globe with 27 stars and the motto ORDEM e PROGRESSO - order and progress. 27 stars represent states of the federation. Green represents the rain forest. The golden diamond is a symbol of the mineral wealth of the land.
