Flag of Burkina Faso formerly Upper Volta was established in 1984. Two red and green equal horizontal bands with a yellow five-pointed star in the center. Yellow expresses the mineral wealth of the country. Red is the color of revolutionary struggle and green include agriculture, abundance and hope. Big yellow star represents revolution.
