Croatia

Croatian flag dates from 1848. The flag of Croatia has three horizontal bands in the Pan-Slav colors. Checkerboard emblem in the center of the flag contains five small shields. They represent five historical regions: Croatia, Dubrovnik, Dalmatia, Istria and Slavonia.
