Italy

 Italian flag was derived from the French flag at the time of the Napoleonic wars and Napoleon himself changed the blue color for his favourite green color. The Italian flag is used without the royal coat of arms since 1946. Green represents the country's plains and the hills; white symbolizes the snow-capped Alps; and red represents the blood spilled in the Wars of Italian Independence.
