Mali

Mali adopted a flag in 1959. The flag displays three equal vertically bands in the Pan-African colors. Green represents hope and fertility of the country. Yellow symbolizes justice, harmony and the Sahara Desert, which occupies most of the territory. Red means sacrifices and heroism in defending the country.
