Austria

Austrian flag dates from 1191 and it is one of the oldest national flags of the world. In the battle of Acre during the Third Crusade to the Holy Land, the Austrian Duke Leopold V. fought against Saracens so valiantly that the blood colouration the whole jacket and just below the belt with his sword remained white strip. Flag in its present form introduced in 1918 after the collapse of Austria-Hungary.
Flag consists of three horizontal stripes red, white and red.
