Djibouti

The flag began to be used in 1977, when Djibouti gained independence from France.  Two main ethnic groups Afari and Issa live together. Green symbolizes earth and the Afar people. Blue symbolizes the sea, sky and the Issa people.  The white triangle symbolizes peace and the red five pointed star alliance and independence.
