Ecuador

Francisco de Miranda, the freedom fighter, designed the colors of the flag of Ecuador in 1806 and the country gained full independence in 1830. The flag has a form of three horizontal bands with the coat of arms in the center. Yellow represents the sun, grain and mineral wealth. Blue the sky, sea and river. Red the blood of patriots in the struggle for freedom and justice.
