Hungary

The current Hungarian flag was first used in the uprising in 1848 - 1849. Three equal horizontal bands of red, white, and green. The  colors are derived from the historical Hungarian coat of arms. Red means power and the shed blood for the defense of the country. White represents honesty and green represents the flat meadows and hope for the future.
