Nepal

Nepal adopted this flag in 1962. The flag of Nepal is not of a rectangle or square but it has the unique shape of two overlapping right triangles. The Nepalese flag reminds fhe sharp Himalayan peaks, or pagoda. The crescent at the upper triangle and the sun in the lower triangle are symbols of eternal cycle of time. Crimson red represents the rhododendron, the country's national flower and also the sign of victory in war. The blue border symbolizes peace and harmony.
