Peru

The flag of Peru came into existence in the year 1825. The white colours symbolize peace and justice. The red is the colour of people who laid their lives in the battle of independence. On the white strip is placed state sign with the shield where are placed three symbols of the riches of Peru: llama, cinchona and the horn of wealth with coins.
