The flag of Scotland Saltire: blue with white diagonal cross of Saint Andrew, who is the patron of Scotland. The oldest sacred inscription of the flag with the cross of Saint Andrew on the stamp of Saint Ondrej comes from the year 1180 where is used spiritual sign not the national one. The day 1.7.1999 was really special day for Scotland. After almost 300 years they got the law to govern themselves with the opening of the Scotland parliament on Edinburgh.
