Singapore

Singapore became the independent country in the year 1965, but the flag was introduced in the year 1959. The Singapore flag consists of the traditional Malayan colours. The white is the symbol of peace, respect and clearness. The red symbolizes the expression of the friendship and equality of all people. Five stars are ideals of the peace, progress, justice, equality and democracy. The half-moon represents new Singapore public.
