Tonga

The flag of Tonga was introduced in the year 1970 after the achievement of the independence. First suggestion of the flag was from the year 1862. White flag with the small red cross in the middle. In the year 1863 the National Geneva Cross officially accepted the flag on the base on that Tonga changed its flag on the current appearance. The cross reflects deeply rooted Christianity of Tonga. The red colour represents the Jesus blood and his victim for our redeem. White is the colour of the clearness.
