Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan introduced the flag in the year 1992 after the breaking up of the Soviet Union. The design of the flag was chosen from the local competition. Turkmenistan is the famous producer of carpets therefore the carpet design got on the Turkmenistan flag. The green colour of the flag and the half – moon symbolize Islam. Five – pointed stars represent five regions.
