Venezuela

On 3rd of August in 1806 General Francisco de Miranda for the first time picked up tricolour of the nation flag on the earth of Venezuela. Yellow strip represents the heritage of the country. The blue strip symbolizes the ocean which divides Venezuela from Spain. The red strip symbolizes the blood of nationalists overspill for the independence. The stars represent the provinces which supported the independence. The last changes were on the flag represented in the year 2006. On the flag was added one star and state sign with the inscription REPUBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA.
